Melody, rhythm, harmony
Every piece of music does three things at once. Melody is one note after another — the part you can hum. Rhythm is when those notes happen, and for how long. Harmony is what sounds together: two or more notes at the same moment, and how that changes what the melody means.
Everything on this site is one of the three, and the order of the course follows the order they depend on. Notes and intervals come first because a melody is made of them; chords and progressions build on that; rhythm and reading run alongside. This unit has been about the raw material — the twelve notes, and where they live on your instrument — and the next one starts measuring the distance between them.
