Name the loop
One more look at what you missed.
Each loop has a fingerprint: its second chord.
From I, the pop loop goes to V, a major chord. The fifties loop goes to vi, the minor one.
Two first moves from C.
Play C then G, and C then Am. The second move turns darker.

It starts on I. Is the second chord V, bright and major, or vi, darker and minor?
Then listen for where it ends.
The pop loop ends on IV, which floats back to I. The fifties loop ends on V, which pulls hard to I.
In C: C, Am, F, G. Which loop is it?
A loop that starts on the minor chord.
Then G. When the first chord is minor, think vi–IV–I–V.
The loop plays once. Name its last chord: IV for the pop loop, V for the fifties.
Name a loop by its numerals, not its letters.
C, G, Am, F and G, D, Em, C are the same loop: I–V–vi–IV, in two keys.
A song in G: G, D, Em, C. Which loop is it?
You can name a loop.
